Beautiful Vintage 1850's Red, White & Blue Double X Antique Quilt

  
This ELEGANT cotton 1840's / 1850's red, white and blue "double X" quilt is all hand pieced and hand quilted. It measures 82 X 88. And is in good condition, with popping / damage in the early blue print (see pics), the occasional age spot, and wear at the edge of the binding in places. There are straight line, floral, pinwheel, and feathered designs quilted throughout at 8 stitches to the inch.

The back and hand stitched binding are white, and the batting is thin. You can see cotton seed residue inside when you hold the quilt up to the light. The quilt came out of western Pennsylvania. The WONDERFUL EARLY FABRICS and GREAT DESIGN make this VERY EARLY COLLECTOR'S QUILT stand out!
