Early c 1830-40s Chintz Patchwork QUILT Indigo Blue Antique Pre Civil War. Early Americana pre Civil War quilt!

This wonderful quilt with indigo blue and chintz. The quilt has a lush sampling of all sorts of quilting patterns to the background. The blue has tiny Prussian blue accents. The chintz fabric fussy cut in some. This type of chintz would be used in the early Broderie Perse quilts of the era.

Measures 100 x 90 inches. Fine hand quilting at 8 stitches per inch.

Tiny turned edge and hand sewn. The quilting wasn't ever washed. Two squares have light surface wear along the edge.
