Vintage 1930s Appliqued Pansy Quilt
Vintage 1930s Appliqued Pansy Quilt. This unused Vintage American made 1930's cotton appliqued pansy quilt is all hand pieced and hand sewn and few areas of machine sewn. The binding has been folded from the back to front and is hand sewn on.
This quilt is in good unwashed condition, and no wear, no odors, or fading, one small area of appliqué separation and with the occasional scattered very tiny, faint brown old age storage spots that will come out in this one's first wash. I have taken pictures of the larger stains, that will come out with its first soaking. I have not laundered this quilt. There are areas on the binding seam that needs reattachment that needs to be repaired. The stitches are precise and consistent.
It measures a generous 82" X 66-1/2". Standard double bed is 54" wide x 78" long.
Queen bed is 60" wide x 80" long. King bed is 78" wide x 82" long.
Strong and sturdy no fading or fabric splitting and ready for any project. The maker put a lot of thought into the selections of materials to give the quilt top a great visual look. This quilt is a wonderful sewn together work of art.
