She had beautiful linens, always high quality and now highly sought after. This quilt top was obviously handmade by the stitching and it appears a mixture of hand and machine stitching was done to finalize the quilt and sham.
It's a very unusual almost broken double wedding ring pattern. Some of the inner rings have these beautiful lace doilies attached. The sham has a zipper closure on the back, I believe my grandmother probably added this herself. Edges have a beautiful scallop that perfectly aligns and matches. When I first received these I washed them and line dryed them before placing them in storage.
No smells, however there is some very light spotting in some areas, I call these "water spots". They may come out with a good wash. PLEASE DO NOT PUT THIS QUILT IN THE DRYER. Quilts like this should always be line dried. As the scalloped edge made it a bit difficult for exact measurements. I did not round up but rather rounded down if the measurement was not exact. Sham is 29" in length x 23" tall. Quilt is 64" wide x 82" in length, would be suitable to drape a tall twin or just fit a full bed. I have no way to really photograph these and I have never taken pictures of a quilt before so if you would like more pictures or a specific picture of something please message me! I hope that this quilt will become a beautiful addition to your home and bring you as much joy as it has brought me!
