VINTAGE 1930's DEPRESSION ERA IRIS FLORAL APPLIQUE QUILT. 74 WIDE X 89 LONG. CENTER MOTIF 26 WIDE X 35 LONG. EMBROIDERY ON LEAVES AND FLOWERS. SMALL DIAMOND PATTERNED FABRIC ON BRIGHT WHITE BACK. Moving back to the farm where I grew up has rewarded me with many simple pleasures. I love to watch the goldfinches at the feeders hanging on the summer kitchen. My love for vintage textiles came from my grandmother. After spending all of her morning in the garden then making a fabulous lunch including homemade cottage cheese, bread, home grown vegetables and fruit and always a fresh cake or pieTHEN she would relax for an hour in the afternoon with her needlework. She taught me how to quilt and crochet talking all the time we worked about everything under the sun.

What I wouldn't give to have one more afternoon with Grandma. Unfortunately, the closets in the farmhouse are overflowing with all my treasures I have collected through the years and I must part with some of them. All of my quilts have been expertly cared for and cleaned. Hopefully, you will enjoy them as much as I have.
